RE: TV Power / Ignition interlock relay

It's in the outlet the TV is plugged into. Open it up and do what overbudjet racing said. Works great!

RE: Adding a second 12v chassis battery, wiring ???

That's a great point. The existing chassis battery looks like the same one that I removed from under the house. I'll have to make sure before I do add the second one. If they are, they would have been pretty close in production date since they are the original ones when we purchase the MH last year.

RE: Adding a second 12v chassis battery, wiring ???

I didn't know it was that simple, I thought some type of special switch was required. Thanks for the replies.

Adding a second 12v chassis battery, wiring ???

I just recent replaced my single 12V Interstate house battery with two 6V golf batteries. I would like to add the 12V to the existing one for the chassis. It's going into a Jayco Greyhawk Class C on the Kodiak chassis, so there is already a spot for the 2nd one. My question is, what kind of wiring is involved? If anyone has done the same, I would appreciate a link. Many thanks!

A couple of ??? about installing two 6V batteries

I purchased two Costco 6V Golf cart batteries to replace a single 12v house battery. I have a couple of questions for you folks: 1. What's the best way to secure the batteries in the battery tray? The current battery is tied down with a nylon strap, is there a better alternative? 2. As far as wiring is concerned, can I use the existing cables? My plan is to hook the positive cable to the positive terminal of battery #1, and hook the negative cable to the negative terminal of batery #2. So I will need to purchase a length of cable to connect the negative trminal of battery #1 to the positive terminal of battery #2. Is this correct? Thanks for your help.

RE: Are roof vent covers necessary?

I just removed my black model 900 Maxxair vent cover and replaced it with the translucent white one over the bathroom. It lets a little more natural light in. The black one is on E-bay if anyone is in need: Maxxair Model 900 vent cover on E-bay

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

1/1/08--drove cross country after selling home in RI. Hit snow in PA, winds in VA and smell in OK and KS. Hit storm/winds in MT where Tractor Trailers blew over and arrived in WA 1/6/08 to meet up with wife and son who relocated in June. Calised hands from fighting winds and icy roads. Slept 2 days. Coherent on the 4th day and family moved into RV. Now living in RV til new house is purchased. Avg 16hrs/day drive. Now its all a blur....... Welcome to the "left" coast!

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Changed the black MaxxAir vent cover in the bathroom to a white one. The black one made it feel like a dungeon, the white one lets it the right amount of light. Still have the black one over the bunk which is perfect.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Just got back from three days in the Angeles National Forest above Santa Barbara, CA. The RV did great except for the thermostat shutting off in the middle of the night. I woke up at 3 a.m. and it was 59 degrees in the coach!

RE: An observation

We bought our Kodiak based MH because I like to take the family out to the races and do a little dry camping, this is where the added tank capacities of the Kodiak chassis comes in handy. Look closely at the fresh, black, and gray tanks and you'll see what I mean. We took the kids up to Mammoth Lakes this past summer and dry camped for almost a week with some really creative conservation! It would have been nice to save the $$$ with the Ford chassis, but we're happy with our purchase.

RE: Wrangler bike racks for 4 bikes

This is what we use on our Wrangler but you'll need a trailer hitch on the Jeep. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a269/rmpvegas/ThuleRoadway.jpg Here's a link: Thule Roadway at REI.com We carry two adult bikes and two kid's bikes, works great.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Spent a couple of hours rewiring the cabinet that houses the TV in the living area. In the process of installing a new Phillips home theater unit as well as a Samsung LCD HD TV. I'll post pics when I'm done.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Went and got the MH from storage and parked it out front for the Thanksgiving weekend so I could replace the "cheesy" 19" TV up front with a 32" HD Samsung unit.

RE: What do you guys use to aim Direct TV dish

Well, I set it up in the driveway and using the compass and listening to the beeps I had a signal of 85 in less than 5 minutes. Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I appreciate all the help. Have a great Thanksgiving. Robert Robert, that's great news. Now all you have to do is recreate the process outside of your driveway. ;)
